Who am I?
My name is Miranda. I am originally from Maryland and have always loved skincare and fashion. I have always had the desire to travel and see the world. I started blogging when I was in high school, and continued a bit through college. At this time in my life, I have the opportunity to travel more and dedicate more time to writing, which is why I am starting this blog. I hope to share my adventures and advice with young people like me, finding their place in the world
Why did you start blogging?
I have always loved writing. In high school and college, I found myself always looking for product recommendations and advice from people my own age. I first started focusing on skincare, due to some issues of my own (I have always gone through phases of cystic acne and eczema). I was always researching different products, brands, and ingredients, trying to find what worked for me. It hit me that, if I was looking for these things, other people probably were too. This is why I started blogging, to share my advice and research with other people who were looking for it. Eventually, I developed an interest in fashion and travel, and wanted to share these too.
What kind of research do you do before sharing a product?
For skincare products, I extensively research the brand and ingredients. Having sensitive, combination skin myself, I know how important ingredients can be. (Keep in mind: I share products and ingredients that work for me, but I never claim that they will work for everyone. I am not a certified dermatologist, nor will I ever recommend a product for a specific issue).
What are some fun facts about you?
- I have a degree in Fashion Merchandising
- I love yoga, pilates, and do cardio (when necessary)
- I am obsessed with paper products (planners, stationary, pencils, pens, etc.)
- I have a part- maine coon cat named Stella
- My style is a little bit of everything (boho, casual, glam, androgynous)
- I do most of my traveling solo
